I am inspired by music and poetry; nature and nurture; family and friends; Los Angeles and Austin; love and light; voices and singing; food and nourishment; laughter and love; fire and rain; god and universe; you and I.
I began my yoga journey in beautiful Austin, Texas over 15 years ago at the request of a dear friend. Being immediately smitten, I slowly began the physical and spiritual transformation that continues today. Building on my experience as a certificated teacher, I currently teach children’s yoga (6-11th grades) as well as adults of all levels both in the studio and privately.
I love to teach traditional hatha vinyasa flow classes using patience, joy, and breath to inspire students to dig deeper, reach farther, and grow in their practice both on and off the mat. Believing that yoga is a powerful tool to find inner strength and peace, my practice blends meditation and asana flow with alignment guidance for an experience that is safe and joyful.
I was blessed to earn my 200-hour training at the intimate Dharma Yoga studio in Austin, Texas with mentor teachers Keith Kachtick and Camilla Figueroa. I currently teach yoga and choir, sing professionally and live in beautiful Leimert Park with my husband, dog, cat, guinea pig, and fish where we all sing, dance, eat, garden, read, dream, and laugh a bit each day.
